Hot Topic at the Wedding Forum today: Love In Bloom

04.08.2011 by Leah // 1 Comment

Ate Jo's letter to the W@W community was published by Ms. Benz today.   A lot of the brides think that what she did was unacceptable because (1) she did not give the bride (Ms. Ching) sufficient time to change her bouquet, (2)  they believe she could have found ways to source out the peonies elsewhere and (3) she should have explained herself a tad earlier.  ... Meeting with Ate Jo of Love in Bloom

04.05.2011 by Leah // 1 Comment

As someone who isn’t very familiar with flowers and with no particular preferences, I thought I’ll have a hard time looking for our florist. It’s a good thing Hizon’s will take care of the flowers during the wedding party  and our Church will provide for the flowers already.  So I only have to look for a florist who will take care of my ... Wedding Invitations by Wink

03.31.2011 by Leah // 8 Comments

Our requirements for the invitations are simple:  there must be no patterns, no caricatures and no intricate background.    It should match our vision of a solemn, clean and elegant wedding.    Also, we don't want to spend much on them that's why we initially wanted Unifair in Binondo to do the invitations. Unfortunately, we went there on a Sunday and the shop is closed.   ... READ MORE

Our Wedding Bands

03.31.2011 by Leah // 2 Comments

For our wedding bands, we want something like Tiffany & Co.'s classic knife-edge wedding bands: It was kinda difficult to find a nice knife-edge wedding bands locally because the style is not that "popular' here.  We tried looking at Goldenhills and My Diamonds but they don't have it. During the bridal fair at Megamall in July last year, we came across two shops ... READ MORE

Wedding Hair Styles

03.29.2011 by Leah // 1 Comment

When I had my trial make-up with Chichi last year, her assistant, Steph styled my hair like this:The back curls is pretty but I think it looks messy.I am leaning towards a "clean bun" look now and is thinking if the following hairstyles will look good on me:Hairstyle # 1 is worn by Jessica Alba.  I like this but problem is, my hair does not have the right ... Dressing Up My Entourage

03.26.2011 by Leah // 7 Comments

The ladies in my entourage will wear a twist-wrap dress in jersey fabric. This choice of dress was a result of my countless consultations with them (there are only 4 ladies in my entourage composed of the Matron of Honor and 3 Secondary Sponsors.  No bridesmaids and flower girls for me). Here are the pegs of the dress styles I showed to them:The ladies love ... Customized Chocolate from Sophia’s Chocolat

03.23.2011 by Leah // Leave a Comment

I read about Sophia's Chocolat from w@w.   All feedbacks about their chocolate products were good, so AJ and I got them to do customized chocolates which we will give to our guests as prizes. We initially wanted chocolate letters of "DL" like this (white for the "D" and brown for the "L"):But after inquiring from Ms. ... To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
