Shopping Discovery: New East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza

09.23.2013 by Leah //

Last Saturday, AJ and I had a dinner date with his college barkada (Hi Me-An and Betty!) and we agreed to meet at the newly-opened East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza in Pasig. It's been ages since AJ and I set foot at Shangri-La Plaza, so we felt like time-timers again when we navigated the main mall (naliligaw-ligaw pa ako), but it was the grandness and hotel-like structure of ... Bono Artisanal Gelato

03.17.2013 by Leah //

I discovered Bono Artisanal Gelato through Instagram.   Apparently, there's something in this gelato place that the others don't have and people are posting so many pictures of their products - that's how much they love Bono Gelato. And when I read that they have a Speculoos Gelato I swear, I felt a sudden rush of happiness!  Then I read this very nice review of Bono Artisanal ... READ MORE

Addicted to Speculoos Cookie Butter!

03.03.2013 by Leah //

What a HAPPY breakfast we had today:  Pancakes with Sausage ordered from McDonald's + Speculoos Cookie Butter! Now that we've tasted the Speculoos Cookie Butter, we can totally understand why people obsess about it.   It's full of cookie goodness that once you start, you cannot stop!    We generously spread it over pancakes, crackers and even  pandesal!   And at the rate ... The Good Stuff

02.27.2013 by Leah //

Just sharing with you some of my recent discoveries these past weeks... Baker's Twines from Paper Chic Studio.   I have been stalking Paper Chic Studio's facebook page for a time, hoping to buy some of their baker's twines and colorful loot bags but I could not make the order form work.    Then at the eve of the Chinese New Year, while waiting for the clock to strike 12, I ... Who would've thought that she will bloom into a really pretty cat, with salmon-colored nose, beautiful doe eyes, a prominent white hair scarf, and powdery white cheeks.

But she is very far from innocent, and is now feared by the male cats here twice her size because she is #GigitheCatBully pala 😅

Happy 9th monthsary, Gigi Ganda 🥰

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
