Food Post: Orchard Road

01.24.2012 by Leah // Leave a Comment

It's been a while since we last ate at Orchard Road, the restaurant which promised a taste of Singapore when it opened a few years back.   Their hainanese chicken meal used to be my favorite, and after an enjoyable meal of roasted chicken at Wee Nam Kee, I realized that we haven't tried the roasted chicken there yet.    So off we went to satisfy our cravings for yet another ... Food Post: Mexicali

10.09.2011 by Leah // Leave a Comment

You will find the best mexican burritos in town at Mexicali.      Every time AJ and I crave for some heavy-duty burritos, we head to only one place:  Mexicali. My favorite:  Grilled Chicken Burritos (P145.00), with beans, please! It's very filling, what with the generous serving of mexican rice they put in and of course, the chopped grilled chicken meat. During our ... READ MORE

Food Post: Kenny Roger’s Hainanese Chicken

08.11.2011 by Leah // Leave a Comment

The first Hainanese Chicken meal I've tried was from Orchard Road (Megamall Branch).   I remember eating here for a few times when AJ and I were attending bridal fairs at the Megatrade Hall hehe. Since we haven't been to Megamall in a while, I got my cravings back for hainanese chicken when I saw this poster at Kenny Rogers, Rockwell Branch: I just have to try it. ... READ MORE

Food Post: Chefs’ Quarter Petit Fillet Mignon

04.14.2011 by Leah // Leave a Comment

You just have to try this! Petit Fillet Mignon at Chefs' Quarter (Megamall Atrium) AJ and I almost always eat at Amici whenever we are at Megamall.  Last week we decided to change routine and try out the restaurant just beside it, Chefs' Quarter. At first, you will get an impression that all food in their menu are pricey.   Well, some are, and I almost dragged ... READ MORE

Who would've thought that she will bloom into a really pretty cat, with salmon-colored nose, beautiful doe eyes, a prominent white hair scarf, and powdery white cheeks.

But she is very far from innocent, and is now feared by the male cats here twice her size because she is #GigitheCatBully pala 😅

Happy 9th monthsary, Gigi Ganda 🥰

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
