Blue Sapphire: A Gemstone of Love

04.24.2015 by Leah // 1 Comment

From the Diamond-Jewelry-Pedia: "The "Celestial" Sapphire - symbol of the heavens, is said to guarantee good health, innocence, truth, and preserver of chastity. It is the birthstone of September and its name is derived from the Latin word "Sapphirus" meaning blue. This gem has been known since the ancient times. There was a belief that Earth is set on this gemstone, ... READ MORE

The Royal Shades of Blue in Tanzanites

09.08.2013 by Leah // 5 Comments

Because today is Mama Mary's birthday and blue is somewhat her liturgical color, I decided to feature today this beautiful blue jewelry that I once owned, and now belongs to my sister-in-law, Juvvy.  She wanted this so much, like badly (hehe!), so I decided to sell it to her.  At least I can still borrow them from her, right?  *wink wink* I had this made even before Kate ... A Fairytale Couple

01.16.2013 by Leah // 1 Comment

I found this photo at fanpop.com that was posted a year ago and I think it's clever and amusing!   The only similarity between Cinderella and the Duchess is, of course, the fairytale wedding.   Kate Middleton was no Cinderella when she married Prince William, having come from a well-to-do family. As for the famous hats of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie during the royal ... READ MORE

Kate Middleton wore a Hijab

09.20.2012 by Leah // Leave a Comment

Much have been published about the Duchess's topless photos (which I can't bear to search over the internet) but a look at her fully-clothed self in Malaysia (during the Southeast Asian tour with Prince William) just makes you forget about the whole thing. And what irony it was: at the time that the photos are making rounds at the internet, the couple was in Malaysia where ... READ MORE

Duchess Catherine’s Necklace

07.20.2012 by Leah // Leave a Comment

I love the blue Stella McCartney dress but what do you think of the Cartier Trinity Necklace? The long necklace reportedly cost £49,000 and the highlights of this luxury jewelry are the 5 entwined circles of pink, yellow and white gold dotted with diamonds.   It was said to symbolize the Olympic rings. I think the necklace is pretty but not too flattering with her ... READ MORE

Who wore it better?

Same Issa Wrap Dress but in two contrasting colors. Pippa Middleton at a friend's wedding (May 2012): Kate Middleton when she and Prince William announced their engagement in November 2010: Who do you think wore it better?    =) Source:  Marie Claire (UK)   ... READ MORE

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in a Pop Art Collection

11.19.2011 by Leah // Leave a Comment

Got this news from The Telegraph.   Romero Britto, the Brazilian pop artist who combined cubism and pop art in creating pop culture icons for  the Dalai Lama, Coco Chanel, Madonna and Michael Jackson, among the many others, turned out to be a huge fan of the royals, particularly Prince William and his new bride Kate. “It was wonderful to create their portrait, I just adore ... Who would've thought that she will bloom into a really pretty cat, with salmon-colored nose, beautiful doe eyes, a prominent white hair scarf, and powdery white cheeks.

But she is very far from innocent, and is now feared by the male cats here twice her size because she is #GigitheCatBully pala 😅

Happy 9th monthsary, Gigi Ganda 🥰

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
