Arm Candies from 168 Mall

08.10.2013 by Leah // 7 Comments

Whenever I'm at 168 Mall in Divisoria I always avoid the stalls selling accessories and arm trinkets because I know that I'll be tempted to buy and I don't just buy one, but two or three at the least!  You see, I love collecting bracelets (see my collection of bangles here) even though I sendom wear them.  I just love looking at them hehe! If you have seen my wish list at ... READ MORE

Bitten by the Taste Central Shopping Bug

06.21.2013 by Leah // Leave a Comment

I have been stalking Taste Central for quite some time.  If you're a Deal Grocer subscriber like me then you've probably seen their very select and exclusive merchandise at the Deal Grocer page.  Window shopping at Taste Central has become a nightly habit of mine (especially since I follow them at Facebook too) but I was hesitant to buy anything yet because almost all items in ... Palawan South Sea Pearls

06.03.2013 by Leah // 59 Comments

Palawan is popular mainly because of ecotourism, which it promotes so responsibly and enthusiastically.   You won't see mass tourism there, and in exchange, you get to experience being part of island communities that are unspoiled but very much thriving. What you probably don't know about Palawan is that, to borrow this description from Jewelmer, the international luxury ... READ MORE

Handmade Jewelry from Around the World at Novica

04.24.2013 by Leah // 3 Comments

NOVICA, the online shop with largest collection of artisan handcrafted jewelry, including pearl, turquoise and handmade silver treasures is now a site partner of The Bright Spot.   I fell in love with their jewelry collection the first time I saw them and I know you would too.  And for something that's handmade, they're not that expensive. Below are some of my favorites from ... READ MORE

A Treasure Trove at 10A Alabama

04.17.2013 by Leah // 8 Comments

Last Sunday, AJ and I braved the summer heat to check out the Handmade Arts and Crafts Fair at 10A Alabama Street.  I've read countless blog posts about this fair which is like a treasure trove of handmade and DIY products by creative and resourceful artists.  Here you will find lots of paper craft, handmade jewelry, craft materials, handmade dolls, etc.   You will also find ... My Faith Pendant from Daphne Jewellery

03.07.2013 by Leah // 4 Comments

Good things come to those who wait.  That's what immediately came to mind when I saw this announcement at Daphne.ph's Facebook page last week: I've been forever in love with Daphne's faith charms, and about 4 years ago I casually inquired about them at the Accessory Lab in Rockwell, where these bespoke medallions are exclusively sold. Being custom-made ... READ MORE

The Beautiful Lapis Lazuli

02.26.2013 by Leah // 2 Comments

I received an email today asking about the blue pendant I was wearing during our Greenhills shopping trip with Frances and Vince. Here's how I looked that day.  The pendant was a very striking accessory with its intense blue color. The blue stone is called lapis lazuli, a semi-precious stone with a history that dates back to ancient Egypt.   It has a beautiful deep ... READ MORE

Topaz Horizon and Me

02.25.2013 by Leah // 1 Comment

I can't remember anymore the exact year when I did start to read blogs but for sure, it was Topaz Horizon, alongside Daphne.ph and Chuvaness.com, which got me interested in reading blogs.  Soon I was looking forward to what Frances, Daphne and Chuvaness will write about and share with us readers.  Yes, I was hooked! Fast forward to 2011.   I knew early on that AJ and Frances ... READ MORE

Who would've thought that she will bloom into a really pretty cat, with salmon-colored nose, beautiful doe eyes, a prominent white hair scarf, and powdery white cheeks.

But she is very far from innocent, and is now feared by the male cats here twice her size because she is #GigitheCatBully pala 😅

Happy 9th monthsary, Gigi Ganda 🥰

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
