The Antique Rose-Cut Diamonds

10.02.2014 by Leah // 2 Comments

With showbiz wedding proposals happening left and right (the latest was Isabel Oli getting engaged to John Prats  - watch their cool video here), I decided to feature today a unique diamond cut that has a lot of history in itself, and which I think any girl would love to receive on her engagement or wedding day: They're called rose-cut diamonds,  and are sometimes called ... Movies and Gemstones in my Mind

09.17.2014 by Leah // 5 Comments

The recently concluded Star Magic Ball inspired me to collaborate with my Bulacan-based jeweler for the design and gemstone choices of these pretty and eye-catching earrings. And because it's a showbiz event which inspired the creation of these earrings, I decided to name each pair after the film which came to mind after I saw the actual pieces. Pretty in Baby Pink and ... READ MORE

Mystic Biron Emeralds

06.27.2014 by Leah // 4 Comments

My dream gemstone is actually not diamond but emerald.  One of my wishes is to own Colombian emeralds - the purest emeralds in the world - prized for their superb quality, color intensity and brilliance. Natural emeralds, which are green varieties of the beryl mineral stones, are very, very difficult to source now.  This scarcity has resulted in it being even more ... READ MORE

Things that occupy my mind lately

05.15.2014 by Leah // 14 Comments

A lot of things have been occupying my mind lately, which left me feeling exhausted these past few days (hence the absence of blog updates). First, there's this wonderful proposal to partner up in a business that I am very much interested in - jewelry.  In fact, I already have a  business plan for it, ready to be discussed with my interested partner.  It will be an online ... A Mid-Week Must Have: Coral Jewelry

03.05.2014 by Leah // 4 Comments

A good friend of mine gifted me with these dark blue carved rose coral earrings and pendant set on my birthday last month: I love the wonderful pop of color here (even though it's in dark blue) and the simple but intricate-looking gold leaves setting. Together, they give a vintage flair to this flower jewelry. My favorite piece is the pendant.  The gold leaves are ... READ MORE

Sparkling Rubies for Valentine’s Day

02.14.2014 by Leah // 4 Comments

Happy Valentine's Day! And because today is about celebrating love and romance, I am going to feature a very romantic jewelry set that is for sale.  Yes, it's from my alahera based in Bulacan where I got my yellow tanzanite earrings that sparkles like diamonds, and some of my south sea pearls before I discovered Palawan's. The romantic jewelry I'm talking about is set in ... READ MORE

A Fancy Jewelry

01.25.2014 by Leah // 2 Comments

Just because I've been featuring only premium gold jewelry doesn't mean I don't buy the fancy ones, or those made from synthetic stones and gold lower than 14k. Those who cannot yet afford to buy expensive jewelry can actually start with a set of fancy ones.  Never mind if the stones are synthetic; when they are of such good quality, people won't notice the difference at ... Who would've thought that she will bloom into a really pretty cat, with salmon-colored nose, beautiful doe eyes, a prominent white hair scarf, and powdery white cheeks.

But she is very far from innocent, and is now feared by the male cats here twice her size because she is #GigitheCatBully pala 😅

Happy 9th monthsary, Gigi Ganda 🥰

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
