My Christmas Wish List

12.24.2011 by Leah // 1 Comment

Sorry I took a break from blogging.   AJ and I went to tour Ilocos early this week as one of our Christmas gifts to ourselves hehe.    We enjoyed our trip so much that we plan not only to return to Ilocos but tour other parts of the Philippines as well (we prefer traveling and exploring locally than abroad, for now).

As for the “other gifts”, I know of some things that I “wish” to receive this Christmas, which are not really super expensive but will make me super happy, nonetheless.    I came up with the top 5 items in my wish list, but not necessarily in order of priority (or lust hehe!).   Let’s see the list:

1.  DKNY’s Be Delicious Perfume.  I used this perfume during my wedding in May this year (thanks to my sis-in-law, Juvvy, who gave this to me) and I’ve been hooked since.   This juicy fragrance combines the scent of apple, flowers and sensual woods.  Very mild and refreshing.

2.  Cath Kidston’s Chelsea Roses Holiday Bag.  I will be doing lots of traveling next year (due to my new post at the office which requires visiting our branches in the northern part of the Philippines) and I will be in need of a sturdy overnight bag.   I want mine to be dainty-looking too, and I think this Chelsea Roses Holiday Bag from Cath Kidston will be the perfect solution to my needs.

3.  Heart-shaped charm pendant from Thomas Sabo.    I love Thomas Sabo charms and after owning one, I know I’m going to build my charms collection with Thomas Sabo’s.    I am loving this heart-shaped one at the moment, which is truly elegant with its pave-design and the use of synthetic zirconia stones makes it fairly affordable.

4.   Columbia Sportswear Dolomite™ WO Straight Leg Pant.    Half of my cloth wardrobe consists of Columbia Sportswear clothes.   I was never a fashionista and always consider comfort above all else.  The good thing about Columbia is that they don’t just sell mountaineering clothes, they sell stylish sportswear clothing that are not only comfortable to wear but easy to pack and has great durability.    Given my frequent travels for next year, I plan to invest more on travel clothes like this leg pant that provides flawless coverage using a rich-feeling woven fabric.   The design is also very sleek, perfect for casual wear.

5.   Moleskin x Star Wars Limited Edition.   Saw this at National Bookstore and while I’m not a big Star Wars fan, I think this one is going to be a collector’s item and owning one would be cool.

There goes my grown-up Christmas wish list hehe.   Nothing impossible in there, right?   =)

With that, I leave each and everyone a Merry Christmas filled with love, happiness and wonder!

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.
