Food Post: Army Navy

05.12.2011 by Leah // 2 Comments

AJ and I were so happy to discover an Army Navy branch at Greenhills.  We were there last Sunday and did not waste the opportunity to check it.   I’ve been hearing nothing but raves about their burgers so I know we just have to try it.

A single-patty burger costs P145.00, not bad considering the beef patty is thick and not loaded with weird spices (like Jollibee) that leaves a bad after-taste in your mouth:

For my order, I specifically requested for “no-mayo” because I don’t like mayonnaise in my burger.   The sauce has a BBQ-Ranch flavor which I liked very much.

We also ordered their LiberTea (Iced Tea) and Freedom Fries (P65.00):

They’re both must-have’s!   Can’t help but have a second serving of the fries!

The fries are crunchy and flavorful!  They don’t have the same thickness as the regular fries so a single serving might not be enough for fries-lovers like me.   They remind me very much of the KFC fries that I have ceased to order because of the very small serving size.

Army Navy is a must-try for those who love burgers (and burritos).  They don’t have lots of burger choices like in Brothers Burger.  But I actually like it that their menu is simple and uncomplicated.

Will surely go back there again.  Maybe I’ll try the burritos this time.

oh, I-just-love their french fries! Too bad I wasn’t able to have a taste of it again before I left Phils. I was forever avoiding french fries before the wedding kasi haha.

Who would've thought that she will bloom into a really pretty cat, with salmon-colored nose, beautiful doe eyes, a prominent white hair scarf, and powdery white cheeks.

But she is very far from innocent, and is now feared by the male cats here twice her size because she is #GigitheCatBully pala 😅

Happy 9th monthsary, Gigi Ganda 🥰

To My Father By Georgia Harkness A giant pine, ma To My Father
By Georgia Harkness

A giant pine, magnificent and old
Stood staunch against the sky and all around
Shed beauty, grace and power.
Within its fold birds safely reared their young.
The velvet ground beneath was gentle,
and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by.
Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid,
As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day.
Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void.
But men who passed paid tribute – and said,
“To know this life was good,
It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”.
And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold –
This giant pine, magnificent and old.

~

To our shelter and safety while he lived, we miss you so much.
Happy 2nd Year in Heaven, Daddy ❤
